Beginning in 1988, God’s servant Stephen Kaung began ministering God’s word at the Northeast Christian Weekend Conference [NCWC]. Year by year for over twenty years, our dear brother faithfully shared on matters concerning spiritual realities. This third volume of Concerning Spirituals gathers ministry on three such themes: Spirituality, Spiritual Power, and Spiritual Knowledge.
Our brother’s prayer was that God’s children would not be content with appearance, but would be truly spiritual in the sight of God, clothed with His power, and growing in the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ in preparation for His soon return.

The first section of this volume contains ministry on the matter of true and false Spirituality. Every spiritual truth can only be operative among those who are truly spiritual; otherwise what appears to be spiritual is only a counterfeit. Sharing on the seriousness of this matter, brother Kaung said: “We all want to be spiritual and, in a sense, I am afraid we try to appear to be more spiritual than we really are. It may not be our intention but, unconsciously, probably every one of us is in such danger. That is the reason why we need to consider very seriously before the Lord this matter of spirituality: false or true.”
The second section contains ministry on Spiritual Power. God’s children are not called to live and to serve by their own strength. Power belongs to God, and He has made that power the birthright of every one who is born from above. Our brother stated: “Spiritual power is our birthright. When we are born from above, we have it. But because we do not know what it is, we do not know its law, we do not know how it works, unconsciously, we begin to drift away. Instead of using that spiritual power that is our own, we neglect it, we overlook it, we lay it aside, and we take up the old way. That is why we lose the spiritual power.”
The third section of this volume contains ministry on Spiritual Knowledge, given in two ministry times entitled: Pursuing Spiritual Knowledge and Obtaining Spiritual Knowledge. The knowledge of God is not gathered by the natural mind; it is wrought into the believer through the working of the cross by the Holy Spirit in daily life. A concluding time of questions and answers has been retained, in which our brother addresses the practical concerns of God’s people as they seek to walk in this knowledge.
Our brother’s prayer was that God’s children would not be content with appearance, but would be truly spiritual in the sight of God, clothed with His power, and growing in the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ in preparation for His soon return.
