The main point being that God's purpose in Job's trials was to bring Job to maturity. Author makes a good case for all his points.  The insights into the meaning of Job's friends' speeches are precious.

The Splendor of His Ways by Stephen Kaung has touched me. I never viewed the book of Job in that perspective as he has broken it down to. It gives me the strength to go on for I know this trial is just breaking me down to rebuild and mold me into the person I should be. ... I was in the streets, misled by Satan, selling drugs. One day I awoke to being robbed and my reaction was to take matters in my own hands. I shot a man and nearly took his life. My life was spared but I still rebeled against the will of God. I started selling drugs in the county jail and still using them. I lost my Father in the process and never got a chance to tell him that I loved him. I haven't seen my kids in my whole time I have been incarcerated. I lost my fiance to the streets. I am still overjoyed for I have been forgiven for my sins and am a new creature. The Lord has saved me and through it all I won't complain. His will is my will.
